BBlades Introduces new Concept In VI-Drive Spacer Kits
Princeton, Wisc. -- Discriminating performance boaters have new options for dialing-in their SSM VI-Drive-powered boats; six new options, to be precise, thanks to a revolutionary new concept in VI-Drive spacers from BBlades Professional Propellers.
BBlades is the only manufacturer offering SSM VI-Drive spacers in quarter-inch increments, ranging from ¼-inch to 3-inches. All other manufacturers only offer spacers in half-inch increments. "While a quarter-of-an-inch may not sound like much to the uninformed, an experienced boat rigger knows that each boat and each boat set-up is different," says Brett Anderson of BBlades. "As a result, the 'one size fits all' mentality of some manufacturers does not meet the needs of the performance boater looking for the ultimate set-up and optimum performance."
Spacers allow for adjusting the "X" dimension of a sterndrive. Put another way, spacers allow for changing the depth of the propeller in the water. Raising the "X" dimension generally will increase speed, while lowering the "X" dimension can improve handling or boat attitude.
BBlades' VI-Drive Spacer Kits are CNC machined from solid billet aluminum and come complete with everything needed for installation: spacer plate, studs, and nuts, washers, O-ring, oil transfer tube and grounding strap.
